Hi! I'm Mia, the creator behind myformulafeed, and it is with SUCH excitement that I can welcome you to my new motorsport blog!
I have been a fan of motorsport for many years now, and its got to the point that I needed somewhere to be able to share thoughts and feelings on all aspects of a race weekend that wasn't talking at my family and friends (who aren't all fans themselves). So, myformulafeed was born! It started as an account on twitter (now X), where I would live tweet races and engage in the awesome motorsport community that used to exist over there. During the pandemic it became a safe space, and the community was awesome! These days it doesn't thrive nearly as much as it used to, but you'll still catch me live tweeting the occasional race over there...
Formula 1 was always on in my house on a Sunday growing up. Both my grandads and both my parents are fans of the sport, so it was only fate that it extended to me. The first races I remember properly watching were the latter of the Hamilton-Vettel era. The brilliant battle of Ferrari and Mercedes, that eventually became all out Mercedes dominance. I had just become fully invested in each race weekend over the 2019 season, watching Lewis Hamilton smash the competition each and every weekend. Then 2020 happened, F1 was halted and there was a new class of rookies who all had pretty prominent online profiles. I thoroughly enjoyed tuning into their Twitch streams, and felt that this class of rookies (Alex Albon, Lando Norris and George Russell) were more relatable than any other drivers I had come across. So by the time the first race of the 2020 season rolled around, I was DESPERATE to see some action on the track from my new favourite drivers.
Though my favourite drivers have shifted, and teams have changed, that race weekend excitement never left. So now here we are, mid way through the 2025 season with Mclaren dominance and a surprising lack of pace from reigning champions Redbull, and a very eventful first few races back post summer break! Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris have more but still not many points between them, so I think its still all to play for in this second half of the season.
Something in my gut says it may come down to the final race... but lets not have a repeat of the chaos of Abu Dhabi 2021 please!
Another bit about me, I've never actually attended an F1 race! Though I am from the UK, Silverstone has not yet been on the cards for me. Hungary 2021 nearly was, but Covid-19 regulations put a spanner in the works on that one! One day I know I'll attend a race, luckily enough Europe is close by so there are plenty of opportunities to get to see some real life on-track action! And know when I do attend a race, you'll get a first hand view over on the @myformulafeed instagram page, and a full blog debrief on here...
I'll keep this one short and sweet, just to give you a flavour of this blog, but be sure to go follow @myformulafeed over on instagram as I'll be posting weekly race overviews and race debriefs each week! Along with updates on new blog posts and other general motorsport news.
Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!
